OnRobot Screw Feeder M1.6

The OnRobot Screw Feeder M1.6 is an automatic screw feeding system for the OnRobot Screwdriver. Instead of loading screws by hand for every fastening, the Screwdriver picks its screws from the feeder, so the screwdriving sequence can run without an operator.

OnRobot offers screw feeding for sizes from M1.6 to M6 (1# to 1/4 inch). This article is the version for the smallest metric size, M1.6. Screws of other sizes need the OnRobot Screw Feeder M2-M6 (separate article).

The feeder is an accessory, not a standalone tool: it works with the OnRobot Screwdriver and the matching screw-bit system. Screwdriver accessory kits, bit holders and bit extenders are separate OnRobot items, and the Screwdriver datasheet notes that the bit holder type must match the screw size so that screws do not jump from the feeder to the tool. OnRobot also lists a feeder fixture (NSRI, M1.6) as a separate item for a fixed, stable mounting position in the work cell.
