Communication CAN with CAN-EtherCAT converter

Description

The OnRobot HEX-E with CAN-EtherCAT converter is a 6-axis force/torque sensor that measures force and torque along Fx, Fy, Fz, Tx, Ty and Tz. The HEX family has a nominal force capacity of 200 N per axis, an IP67 housing and an optical sensing design that OnRobot says resists sudden shocks. HEX-E is the high-sensitivity variant, which OnRobot positions for precise force-control work such as sanding and pin insertion.

This is a different product from the HEX-E QC. The QC version is the HEX sensor for use with the OnRobot Quick Changer. This version is supplied with a CAN-EtherCAT converter and an adapter flange for mounting on the robot. OnRobot sells the sensor with three adapter flange options (A, B and C) at the same price. The correct adapter flange depends on your robot and is confirmed with you when you order.

The difference between HEX-E and HEX-H is the measuring range. HEX-E prioritises sensitivity, while HEX-H provides higher torque capacity for heavier or longer tooling. Both share the same compact housing.
